Ruffina on top of all in PBMM 2017.

Subject :Ruffina on Top of all in PBMM The sponsors The Poonawalla Family have already won 1 PBM (Her Excellency in 1999 along with co-owners G.Essaji and Shapoor Mistry) and 1 PBMM (Haunting Memories in 2006 as a co-owner with Late Dr. MAM Ramaswamy).   As usual, this time also they are in partnership with others, Saleem Fazalbhoy, and Dinsha/Munchi Shroff, but the majority shares of the main contender RUFFINA are with the Poonawallas. Why Ruffina is being talked about is, this filly has been bred at late Mrs. Cyrus C. Poonawalla's stud farm, i.e. Villoo's Greenfields Stud Farm. The Farm House was renovated and decorated by Sussan Khan (ex-wife of Hrithik Roshan) last year, is the home for Adar Cyrus and Natasha Adar family and their guests, dignitaries etc. For the last few years the stud farm was hardly in the business, however now they have resumed serious breeding activities.   RUFFINA decimated the opposition in Gool S.P

Penetrometer Readings explained

The penetrometer reading is obtained using the following method:   A 1 kilogram weight is released by a trigger action and falls 1 metre down a shaft, which in-turn hits a 1 centimetre square rod into the soil profile. The 1 centimetre square rod has 1 centimetre increments as the measurement for the depth the rod that has entered into the soil profile. This action is undertaken 3 times in the one position, therefore giving 3 readings eg: 2.5, 4.5, 6.5.   A formula is used to calculate the reading and is based on the average figure for the entire course. To obtain this figure there are 6 readings taken every 200m around course. Three of the 6 readings are taken 2m from the running rail and then the remaining 3 readings are taken 4m from the running rail. Each reading is recorded and then all figures are entered into a formula that will provide an average. This average then becomes your race day penetrometer reading and will correspond to your set ratings – Good / Soft/ He

Race goers lost hope because no one at the hot seats is bothered to call and question the erring professionals or punish them for in and out racing of their wards. In all gambling business, the huge money involved in betting is the main bone
